As media and graphics officer of Duck Street Dance Crew, it is important that I am putting out content that captures the essence of who we are as a group. the D.S.D.C. social media is a place for our crew to showcase important events, weekly workshops we host, as well as is a space for us to pay homage to hiphop culture as a whole. From dance to music to fashion, Duck Street represents hip-hop at the University of Oregon as a space rooted in diversity, individuality, and a wide range of performance styles. We perform at campus events such as Hip-Hop Jam and athletic halftime shows, and proudly represent the University of Oregon at competitions like World of Dance.
Our social media platforms are the primary space through which we promote our performances, and during my time as Media and Graphics Officer, this presence has directly contributed to new opportunities for the crew. Through consistent and intentional content, we have been invited to international competitions such as World of Dance and have collaborated with creative groups like 1824, promoting music by artists such as The Weeknd.
